Dr. David Callahan is a clinical psycholigst who has been practicing in Southeastern Massachusetts since 1986. A long time resident of Cape Cod, he has worked with children of all ages throughout his career. As part of his ongoing commitment to community service and education, he offers a program to local communities in which he will meet with groups of parents, PTA groups, classrooms or groups of parents and children to discuss his book, the process of writing and the fun of telling a story. During this program, called "Writing IS Magic," he introduces basic ideas of character development and plot in an interactive format that seeks to awaken the passion for writing that lies dormant in many children.
